Brian Steinke has been married to his wife Mary since 1959 and they reside in Oconomowoc,
Wisconsin. They have 5 married children and 28 grandchildren. He is an elder at
Westbrook Church, a Bible History Scholar with Creation Science emphasis. A graduate
of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Brian taught history at Kettle Moraine
high school and was also a track and field coach for 30 years. He is now a partner
in real estate with Mary. Brian and Mary have been guest host and hostess at Broom
Tree Retreats.
His lifelong personal commitment to physical fitness has made him a world-class
athlete, an Olympian in the pentathlon and triathlon. He has continued to qualify
and compete in triathlons since 1983. In 1998 Brian was admitted to the Janesville
Sports Hall of Fame and in 2000 the Wisconsin State Cross Country Coaching Hall
of Fame. After a miraculous recovery from a broken neck injury in 2000 he is thankful
to be able to walk, ride his bike, take out the garbage, hold his grandbabies, turn
the pages in his Bible and raise his arms to offer praise to our awesome God. We
have witnessed his passion for Jesus and how he has hidden the Word in his heart.
Brian lives his life with a Biblical compass and we count on his unyielding decision
to follow God’s lead.
